    In all cars the correct starting of the engine contributes to the proper operation and longevity of its life, as well as to the reduction of consumption and emissions.

    Both on cold and hot days, it is good to warm up the engine properly. 

    • We do not warm the engine up with the car running in idle, because it heats up too slowly under these conditions, increasing consumption and emissions.
    • Idle preheating with the vehicle immobilized is only required on older technology engines with carburetors instead of injection. 
    • We drive slowly at low to medium engine speeds without accelerating sharply and demanding high performance until the engine antifreeze temperature starts to rise.
    • When parking, it is best for your car not to turn off the engine immediately, especially after long- term and long distances. Keep the engine running in idle mode so that the temperature inside the motor compartment can drop.
